Once you have been diagnosed with heart failure, your doctor and nurse will explain what heart failure is and talk with you about the different options to help manage your condition. Heart failure is a serious condition for which there is usually no cure. However, by following your doctor's advice and making simple lifestyle changes, you can feel better and do more. In addition, your doctor will discuss which treatments are most suitable for you. You do need to remember, though, that it is important for you to understand the different types of treatment. This way you will know how they work and what side effects they might have.

This section aims to help you to understand the different treatments and services that can help you to manage and improve your heart failure. For information about what you can do to manage your heart failure click here.
