Nu worden echter alleen foto&#8217;s genomen van de borstkas.<\/p>\n<p>Een MRI-scan gebruikt magnetische velden en radiogolven om foto&#8217;s te maken van de binnenkant van uw lichaam.<\/p>\n<p>U wordt gevraagd om te gaan liggen in een korte tunnel die is uitgerust met een speciale magneet. Er worden korte stoten magnetische velden en radiogolven door uw lichaam gestuurd. Dit duurt circa 30 tot 45 minuten en u moet gedurende die tijd stilliggen. Het apparaat kan tijdens de scan een dreunend geluid produceren. Dit wordt door sommige mensen als onprettig ervaren. Een MRI-scan is echter niet pijnlijk en ongevaarlijk, want er wordt geen straling gebruikt.<\/p>\n<p>De MRI-foto&#8217;s geven een gedetailleerd beeld van de structuur van uw hart en bloedvaten.
