Question 2
If you are short of breath, should you lie down or sit up?
A. Lie down

B. Sit up

The correct answer is B.

Many people with heart failure experience shortness of breath. Breathlessness is caused by fluid build-up in your lungs. When you lie down, this fluid will cover more of your lungs (imagine liquid in a bottle standing upright and then lying on its side) and so sitting up should make you feel more comfortable and ease your breathing.
