It is common for someone to feel depressed or anxious after learning that they have a chronic disease such as heart failure. For most people, these feelings decrease or go away as they learn that the condition can be managed. For others, however, these negative feelings may continue or even get worse over time. It is important to take some positive steps to help your partner or relative manage these feelings.
